Thanks to the initiative of Daniel Marqueton, one of the organizers of the Vineuil flea market and a donor to our association, “Les Amis de La Martinerie" had the pleasure of welcoming 57 classic car enthusiasts. You may recall that on September 3, 2025, we announced the transfer to SOFEMA, of the EBR vehicle entrusted to "Les Amis de La Martinerie" by the Ministry of the Armed Forces, via the Saumur Military Schools.
This temporary move for refurbishment was intended to give a visual facelift to this vehicle, which was widely used by the French Army starting in the early 1950s.

In May, we welcomed a group of 6- and 7-year-olds from the La Pingaudière recreation center in Châteauroux.
This Wednesday, July 15, once again organized by Souad (a recreation center leader) and Marie (our volunteer), we hosted the "Purple Group," consisting of children aged 8 to 11.

On June 20, 1940, courageously and devotedly carrying out orders to halt the German advance at all costs, three Polish soldiers from the "Maczek" Brigade fell in the line of duty while attacking a reconnaissance column that was about to pass through the village of Luçay-le-Mâle.

On Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, three associations,"Pompiers de l’Urgence Internationale" (PUI) based in Limoges, "Pompiers Mission Humanitaire" (PMH) based in Normandy, and "Aide Action Internationales Pompiers" (AAIP) based in the Rhône-Alpes region, gathered at the CNTS. Their goal was to have their future field hospital, "Med-Rescue France", intended for international deployment, validated by the WHO (World Health Organization).

During a recent windstorm, the crown of a poplar tree, already in poor health, crashed down onto the chain-link fence surrounding the Departmental House of Military Memory, causing damage to the enclosure. Consequently, this ailing tree required felling.

Following a proposal by Ms. Virginie Hélion, Mayor of Aigurande and Departmental Councilor, and in accordance with the wishes of Pierre Hémery, the committee’s late president, “les Amis de La Martinerie” (Friends of La Martinerie) have received the flag of the Aigurande chapter of the FNACA. Mindful of the need to ensure that none of the combatants who served in Algeria, Morocco, or Tunisia are forgotten, the association has taken this flag into its care.
