The "Friends of La Martinerie" (Les Amis de La Martinerie) faced a challenge: to propose a program centered on the duty of remembrance for four primary school classes (CE1, CE2, CM1, and CM2) that would avoid repetition in future years.
Our volunteers rose to the challenge, guided by Marie’s technical advice.
The Saint Michel school staff were delighted with the outcome, and plans are already in place for the 2026–2027 school year.
A big thank you to the volunteers who gave their time on Monday, June 15 (for the CE1 and CE2 classes) and Monday, June 22 (for the CM1 and CM2 classes):
Bruno, Dominique, François, Jean-Jacques, Jean-Yves, Martin, Paul, Philippe, and Sylviane.
Noteworthy activities not shown in the photos included: symbols of the Republic, trench art, the medical services of 1914–1918, an explanation of the Great War, a treasure hunt involving the search for specific objects, the evolution of equipment, and more.
