True to their word, the students in the Defense Studies class at LEON XIII Middle School in Châteauroux visited “Les Amis de La Martinerie” for the fourth consecutive year to explore “La Maison départementale de la mémoire militaire”.

Greeted by Dominique upon arrival at the bus stop, the students learned about the 97-year history of the La Martinerie military base from Jean-Jacques, before visiting the 10 exhibition rooms with Bruno or Roland, depending on their group.

It's always a pleasure to welcome this class, with motivated, interested, and curious students eager to discover the military history of the Indre department, as evidenced by their many questions.
