La Martinerie

On Friday February 2nd, around 10:00 AM., “Les Amis de La Martinerie” had the pleasure of welcoming a class of 5th grade students and their teacher, Mrs. Marie Sallé, from the Paul Langevin school in Déols.

The theme of the visit: WW1 as part of the 5th grade curriculum.

After a quick presentation of the La Martinerie base, located partly in the town of Déols, and a few words on the causes and consequences of the conflict, the students were divided into 3 rotating workshops:
     - Objects found in the trenches (Found nowadays burried in the ground), words from the First World War, etc.
     - Visit to the WW1 room, presentation of a trench model
     - Visit to the room dedicated to the 90th RI (traditional Indre regiment), the evolution of uniforms, etc.

After a quick break for lunch, the students left around 2 p.m.

Other classes are expected in the coming weeks.
