It was on the exceptional site of Corlay, on loan from the UNC of Châteauroux Métropole, that the 13th “garden party” of “Les Amis de La Martinerie” took place under a sunny sky.
After a few words to welcome the hundred members of the association and the UNC, the president gave some news about the few members that could not make it that day and those who are currently hospitalized (reported to the members of the CA). He also discussed the coming events including meetings, non-profit organizations gathering, European Heritage Days, etc.
To thank the president and the members of the UNC of Châteauroux Déols, the president of “Les Amis de La Martinerie” presented a tree as a symbol of the friendship between the two associations.
Pleasantly surprised, the president of the UNC Châteauroux Déols thanked “Les Amis de La Martinerie” and specified that this tree would henceforth bear the name of “Les Amis de La Martinerie”.
After an aperitif, partly Martinican, prepared by Roland de Vassoigne and an excellent meal (Taboulé, coq au vin, etc.) prepared by our kitchen brigade under the direction of Martial Chamblanc, our official chef, the members participated in various activities including pétanque, shooting, relaxing, fishing, belote, Tarot, ... before parting with the promise of meeting up for one of the association's next activities.
