La Martinerie

Present in the Indre department for a cultural stay, about twenty students from the private high school Catherine Labouré, located in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, accompanied by 3 teachers, learned about the military history of the Indre department on Monday 17 April.

Welcomed by Marie and Jean-Jacques, they learned about the importance of the military past of the Indre department in general and of the La Martinerie base in particular.

After a joint presentation, Marie, the teacher and Jean-Jacques, discussed each military episode of the department in the context of their school curriculum. Our guests, divided into two groups, visited the different rooms. However, due to time constraints, the students left slightly frustrated as the visit was shorten.

Their stay, organized by the Châteauroux tourist office, will allow them to spend a day in the Brenne region, visit the Valençay castle (and make pastries there), spend two days in Châteauroux around the Raoul castle, discover calligraphy, visit the city and the Bertrand museum.

The teachers and students were highly motivated as indicated by the many questions we received that day.

Thank you to the Tourist Office for including us in this stay.
