La Martinerie

On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, Martin Belfort signed his civic service contract with “Les Amis de la Martinerie”, in the presence of Francine Nièmier, our association secretary, who had processed his application.

He will be working with the association from June 1, 2026, through the end of February 2027.

A first-year Master’s student in History at the University of Tours, he is passionate about research, an interest that aligns perfectly with the association’s objectives.

Consequently, he will initially focus his efforts on the barracks within the Indre department that do not yet appear in our "Barracks Room" display (including the Manutention Barracks, Veillat Barracks, Lion d’Or Barracks, the Infantry and later Artillery Park, the Forges Hautes Barracks in Ardentes, and others).

We wish him a pleasant and rewarding time with the association.
