Traffic routes and parking requisitioned, “la Maison départementale de la mémoire militaire” at La Martinerie is now part of the system set up by Paris 2024, the prefecture and local authorities.
After a somewhat chaotic beginning, everyone was able to pragmaticly come together around a common objective: To welcome all the participants in the Olympic and Paralympic Games shooting events; shooters, guides, organizers, law enforcement, logisticians, delivery people and volunteers.
Due to its geographical location, “la Maison départementale de la mémoire militaire” has been closed to the public since Tuesday July 16.
We will be able to welcome you from Saturday August 10 to Friday August 16 before another closure for the Paralympic events, from Saturday August 17 to Sunday September 8.
Having obtained access authorizations for our volunteers, we will take advantage of this period to continue improving the presentation of our exhibition rooms and the security of the building.
Below are some of the events scheduled for September:
- Saturday September 7, field day ;
- Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22, European Heritage Days with, on Saturday, a conference given by Didier Dubant, on Jacques BALSAN, Silver medalist at the 2nd Olympic Games in Paris in 1900.
