It is within the framework of an "academic trinomial" (National Education - Army - IHEDN Institute of Higher National Defense Studies) that future teachers of the INSPE (Superior National Institute of Teaching and Education) of the Indre department met again this year with “Les Amis de La Martinerie”, within “La Maison Départementale de la Mémoire Militaire”.

The Martinerie base is the ideal place to reach the objectives of this event, which is to "design activities contributing to the development of the culture of Defense".

Teaching Defense to teachers is part of the programs, as pointed out by David CATEL, director of the INSPE and Jean-Louis LAUBRY, history teacher and trainer of these future teachers.

After the presentation of the trio by Paulette PICARD, president of the Indre IHEDN committee, followed by a masterful presentation by Lt-Colonel Frédéric DRAPEAU, Departmental Military Delegate, on "National Defense and the war in Europe", the future teachers were divided into three groups to participate in three rotating workshops:
- The first one, animated by Lt-Colonel Frédéric DRAPEAU, DMD, emphazized the fact that national defense is more than just a military business.
- The second one, led by Laurent BRONSARD, principal of the of the Buzançais Ecueillé middle school, discussed with the future teachers, the values of the French Republic and citizenship education.
- The third one, led by Bruno TAILLANDIER, IHEDN and Mayor of Luçay le Male, discussed the concept of Resilience.

The visit of “La Maison Départementale de la Mémoire Militaire”, accompanied by Marie HETZEL, teacher and volunteer within our association, Jean-Louis LAUBRY, teacher, and Jean-Jacques BERENGUIER, president of “Les Amis de La Martinerie”, ended this morning session.

For both the organizers and the future teachers, this event was a success!
